The main goal of this mission was to save the people affected by floods in Uttarakhand in 2013. In the first phase of Operation Relief, on June 17, 2013, 20,000 people were evacuated from floodplain, which was a huge record in itself.

In the year 1998, Pakistan complained of this operation of the Indian Army to the United Nations. This complaint is filed on page number 321 of the United Nations' 1998 annual book. On 4th May, Pakistan said in the complaint that 22 people were killed in the serial, in 600 meters crossing LoC in PoK.

In January, BAT is considered to be responsible for cutting the head of an Indian soldier.
On 21-22 January 2000, six months after the Kargil war, a raid in Nadala Enclave across the Neelam river was claimed to be allegedly caught the seven Pakistani soldiers during the Raid. According to Pakistan, these seven soldiers were injured in the firing of Indian soldiers, later the bodies of these soldiers were returned to Pakistan.
